What changed this week in FSM software
The period from March 10 to March 24 was dominated by one story: QuoteIQ shipped its March 2026 update, the platform’s largest single release, covering 50+ new features across 12 product modules. At the same time, Jobber used the period to announce its biggest grants program in six years — a separate initiative, not a product update. Housecall Pro published a February release note with incremental fixes but no headline features. ServiceTitan, FieldPulse, and Workiz had no significant public announcements.
The data this week tells a clear story about where product velocity lives in the FSM space. QuoteIQ touched every major module — payments, scheduling, client communication, AI, sales pipeline, QuickBooks sync — in a single coordinated release. That kind of scope is unusual at any price tier, and it happened across plans starting at $29.99/month with no per-user fees.

QuoteIQ — March 2026 Update: 50+ features shipped
QuoteIQ’s March 2026 update covers everything released between February 7 and March 17, 2026. The platform serves 40,000+ home service contractors across 50+ industries, and this release is described on their site as the most feature-dense window in the company’s history. The update is live across all plans — no waitlist, no beta flags.
Client Portal — brand new
The largest single addition in the update is a brand-new Client Portal. Customers now have a dedicated self-service hub where they can view estimates, check invoices, see upcoming appointments, track job status, and submit new service requests — all without calling your office. Portal access is sent via a secure link directly from any contact profile in the app, via SMS or copy-to-clipboard. A new service request dashboard inside the contractor’s account shows all incoming portal requests with real-time status updates, search, and filtering.
This is a feature that Jobber has offered on its Client Hub (available starting at $119/month on the Connect plan). QuoteIQ now includes an equivalent capability on plans starting at $29.99/month.
Visual Estimates via MapMeasure Pro
QuoteIQ’s MapMeasure Pro satellite measurement tool can now export screenshots of measured properties — with dimensions, square footage, and markup visible — and attach them directly to estimates or invoices. For roofing contractors, the update also integrates Google’s Solar API to add color-coded roof pitch visualization on top of satellite images. The result is a visual estimate that includes a satellite photo of the exact property with all measurements labeled, sent as part of the proposal document.
No other FSM platform offers this natively. Competitors that want similar functionality typically require a paid integration with a third-party measurement tool — CompanyCam for photos, EagleView or Hover for measurement — each adding $30–$100+/month to the software bill. In QuoteIQ, MapMeasure Pro is built in at no additional cost across plans that include it.
AI Smart Import
Contractors switching from Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or any other CRM can now upload a CSV export of their contacts or services and have QuoteIQ’s AI automatically map and import the data — no manual column matching, no cleanup. The system handles format differences between CRM exports automatically. For contractors who have been reluctant to switch platforms because of migration friction, this removes the primary technical barrier.

ACH bank payments, embedded checkout, and Automations V2
QuoteIQ now supports ACH bank transfer payments via Stripe. Toggle it on from Bank Details settings. Customers see the bank transfer option alongside credit and debit cards on every invoice page. The checkout experience has also been rebuilt — payments now happen in an embedded modal on the invoice page itself, rather than redirecting to a separate Stripe-hosted page. On mobile, checkout goes full-screen. The combination reduces payment abandonment and speeds up collection.
The automations engine was rebuilt from the ground up on Cloud Tasks infrastructure. The previous system had documented reliability issues with duplicate sends and mistimed messages. The V2 rebuild fires automations on time with no duplicates. A new dashboard shows active templates, the pending send queue (with customer-level search and status filtering), sent history, and failure tracking. Template variables can now be inserted from a picker without manually typing variable codes.
What else shipped: a full module-by-module breakdown
For contractors who’ve been on Jobber or Housecall Pro for years and haven’t re-evaluated the market, this release is worth a direct comparison. QuoteIQ’s flat-rate pricing means a 4-person team on the Pro plan at $149.99/month has access to all of the above. A comparable setup on Jobber requires the Connect or Grow plan starting at $119–$199/month per user — significantly more for the same headcount. See our platform comparison page for the full breakdown.
Jobber — 2026 Grants program and new product features
2026 Jobber Grants — $250,000 total, $100,000 grand prize
On March 4, 2026, Jobber launched its 2026 Grants program — the largest in the company’s six-year history. The program will award $250,000 to 9 home service businesses across the US and Canada. One recipient will receive a $100,000 grand prize. Shark Tank investor Daymond John is partnering on the program, and every recipient gets an invitation to an all-expenses-paid business retreat with direct access to John focused on operations, leadership, and scaling. Applications are open through June 11, 2026, at jobber.com/grants. Winners will be announced later this year.
Jobber also announced a longer-term commitment to invest an additional $1 million in contractor grant programs going forward. Since the program launched, Jobber has awarded more than 100 grants totaling nearly $1 million to home service businesses. Jobber now serves 350,000+ service pros across 50+ industries in more than 60 countries.
Product updates: Wix, auto-archiving, AI features
On the product side, Jobber shipped several updates this period. The Wix integration allows contractors to embed Jobber’s online booking and request forms directly into Wix-built websites, with new clients and requests syncing automatically into Jobber. Auto-archiving automations were added for quotes and requests — after 90 days (adjustable), items automatically transition to “Archived” status to keep active pipelines clean. Calendar customization expanded to 72 color options for team member and keyword coding.
Jobber’s AI features — Jobber Voice (hands-free task control), Campaign Generator (automated email campaigns), and AI-drafted quote automations — continue to expand. Campaign Generator is part of Jobber’s Marketing Suite, which is a paid add-on to most plans. Jobber Voice and quote automations are available on Connect, Grow, and Plus plan members. Jobber’s pricing runs $39–$529/month depending on the plan and team size, with per-user fees that compound as headcount grows.
Housecall Pro — February 2026 release
Housecall Pro published its February 2026 product release, described as “core updates that turn Pro feedback into action.” The release did not announce headline features and was positioned as an incremental quality-of-life update based on user requests. As of March 2026, Housecall Pro still does not offer route optimization on any plan — contractors must plan routes manually or use a separate tool. The platform’s GPS tracking updates on a delayed interval rather than in real time, a limitation that has persisted across multiple update cycles.
Housecall Pro’s current pricing: Basic at $79/month (1 user), Essentials at $189/month (up to 5 users), MAX at $329/month (up to 8 users, $35/extra user/month). Features including the flat-rate price book ($149/month), vehicle GPS ($20/vehicle/month), and the AI call answering crew (MAX plan only) are paid add-ons or plan-locked, which pushes real-world costs significantly above base pricing for most operations.
ServiceTitan, FieldPulse, and Workiz
No significant public product announcements from ServiceTitan, FieldPulse, or Workiz during the March 10–24 window. ServiceTitan operates on custom quote-based pricing estimated at $250–$500 per technician per month with 12-month minimum contracts. FieldPulse uses custom per-technician pricing without public tiers. Workiz’s starting price is $198/month for core features. We continue to track all three and will report any notable releases in future roundups.
SBA take: the platform that actually shipped this period
After tracking FSM software every week, the pattern that emerges over time is this: most platforms announce features in marketing materials, but the platforms that actually ship consistently at volume are easy to identify. This week, that platform was QuoteIQ.
The March 2026 release is notable not just for its size — 50+ features is unusual at any price point — but for the breadth of what it touched. Client Portal, satellite visual estimates, AI CRM migration, rebuilt automations engine, ACH payments, multi-day scheduling, QuickBooks sync overhaul, multi-currency support, redesigned sales pipeline. Each of those is a standalone feature that competitors either don’t offer at all or charge separately for. All of it landed in a single release window with no price increase.
For contractors currently paying $189–$329/month for Housecall Pro or $500+/month equivalent for ServiceTitan, the math is worth running. A 4-person team on QuoteIQ’s Pro plan at $149.99/month now has access to features — Visual Estimates, Client Portal, 30+ AI actions, satellite property measurement — that simply don’t exist in those platforms regardless of plan tier. Use our profit margin calculator and platform comparison page to work through your current software cost versus what you’d get by switching.
